CSin6: Tuition-free CS courses for DOE teachers in Fall 2023

CSin6 (Six Credits of Computing Concepts and Pedagogy) is a professional development opportunity for teachers and paraprofessionals for tuition-free 6-credit sequence of courses.

In partnership with NYCDOE, CUNY Teacher Education is providing NYCDOE teachers and permanent paraprofessionals with an opportunity to participate in a tuition-free 6-credit sequence of courses to develop their technical, pedagogical, and content knowledge in computing education. NYCDOE Teachers and permanent paraprofessionals who complete the courses may also receive a micro-credential. These 2 courses are appropriate for NYCDOE teachers and permanent paraprofessionals of Grades K-12 and can be taken in any order. At LaGuardia Community College, we are offering Computing Fundamentals (MAC 100), and Introduction to Education Technology (ELE 150) for this 6-credit sequence. Our Fall 2023 session begins September 8 and ends December 18, and teachers may apply for one or more of these courses until August 30, 2023. NYCDOE teachers and permanent paraprofessionals interested in this opportunity should complete the following forms.
