In partnership with NYC DOE, CUNY Teacher Education is providing NYCDOE teachers and permanent paraprofessionals with an opportunity to participate in a tuition-free 6-credit sequence of courses to develop their technical, pedagogical, and content knowledge in computing education. NYC DOE Teachers and permanent paraprofessionals who complete the courses may also receive a micro-credential. These 2 courses are appropriate for NYC DOE teachers and permanent paraprofessionals of Grades K-12 and can be taken in any order.
At LaGuardia Community College, we are offering Computing Fundamentals (MAC100), and Introduction to Education Technology (ELE150) for this 6-credit sequence. Our Spring 2024 session begins March 1, 2024 and ends June 13, 2024. Teachers may apply for one or more of these courses until February 26, 2024. NYC DOE teachers and permanent paraprofessionals interested in this opportunity should complete the following forms.
